David joined the KZIM-KSIM team as Chief Meteorologist in September of 2013. He earned a degree in Broadcast Communications from Western Kentucky University. He later was certified in meteorology through Mississippi State University in 2002. David has worked in both television and radio during his nearly 25-year career. That path has led him from Western Kentucky to Texas and even as far west as Los Angeles.
While David has always been interested in the weather, he didn’t see it as a career until he was in his twenties. He says his favorite weather occurs when its sunny and 75! He says he loves the immediacy of sharing weather forecasts and conditions on the radio.
When not working, David loves spending time with his three children, Austin, Ashton and Aaron. From his days in Los Angeles, he has a great interest in movies. He even penned an original screenplay in the early 90s.
