(AP) An advisory search committee charged with helping to select the next president of Southern Illinois University is getting ready to hold its first meeting. The 24-member panel is set to meet for the first time today. They're working to find a replacement for Glenn Poshard, who says he's retiring in June. The advisory committee will include representatives from SIU's Carbondale and Edwardsville campuses. The panel has students, staff, administrators and community leaders. Poshard's contract had been set to expire in 2015. The school's hired a search firm to screen candidates and trustees hope to have a finalist selected in the spring. Poshard is a former five-term congressman who has led the university since 2005.
