TODAY'S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .

A man in Memphis, Tennessee, who was driving his pickup down the highway with the hand-lettered words "Meth Lab" written in white shoe polish on the rear window. Since the truck had an expired license plate, officers decided to pull him over to check things out. It turns out he wasn't kidding. The truck actually had chemicals for making methamphetamine inside.

AND THEN THERE'S .....

Joseph Pineda, 33, who flashed a fake police badge and gun, then demanded free fast food at a Florida McDonald's drive-thru. Pineda told employees that he deserved free food, since he had just come from a sting and didn't have his wallet. Workers knew it wasn't normal protocol, so they called police and the fake police officer was arrested by some real ones.

OR HOW 'BOUT .....

Patrick Gallagher, who got more than he bargained for when friends took him out for a bachelor party. Gallagher had been invited to lie on the stage at the Penthouse Club in Philadelphia as a dancer slid down a pole. Well the dancer apparently lost her grip on the pole and landed on Gallagher's groin area, rupturing his bladder. A lawsuit was filed after the incident against the club citing negligence and asking for $50,000 for medical costs, pain, humiliation and mental anguish.

OKAY, ONE MORE .....

Damon Petty, 37, who broke into a St. Louis area home and was caught frying bacon in the kitchen. Petty had a long criminal record, and this arrest caused the judge to sentence him to seven years in prison.
