Man sentenced for meth production

The Union County State’s Attorney reports that 46-year-old James Schott of Murphysboro has been sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on one count of Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Manufacturing, a class 1 felony. Schott was arrested on July 15th after he was found to  be engaged in the manufacture of meth in a vehicle parked along Big Muddy Levee Road in rural Union County.  Schott was taken into custody by US Forest Service Officers and Union Co Deputies.
