More than 750 Cape Girardeau County customers of Ameren Missouri briefly were without power Tuesday afternoon. An Ameren spokesperson says a line went down at 2:38 p.m. and electricity was restored to all customers by 3:07 p.m. The outage affected the Southeast Missourian's printing plant on William Street east of Sprigg Street and other customers in the surrounding blocks. The outage caused some stoplights to lose power, but Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Jason Selzer said the lights also were working again within about 30 minutes of going down.
