Southeast power outage today

Jul 24, 2013 -- 10:48am

A power outage in the central campus of Southeast Missouri State University is delaying the start of classes and office openings today.  The outage was caused by an issue with a transformer and has disrupted power this morning to the following buildings: Art, Serena, Carnahan, Crisp, Cheney, GS1 and Parker. Facilities Management and an electrical contractor are currently installing a temporary transformer.  Southeast Spokesperson Ann Hayes says power should be restored by 1pm, and summer classes in buildings affected will be back in session and employees working in these locations should report to work
