The Union County State's Attorney announced today/Tuesday that two people from Murphysboro, Illinois have been charged with methamphetamine offenses. 32-year-old Melissa Zamora, and 46-year-old James Schott, have each been charged with one count of unlawful participation in meth production and one county of unlawful possession of meth. The two are alleged to have been in possession of meth and engaged in the making of less than 15 grams of meth near Wolf Lake. Both were arrested on July 15 in the Shawnee National Forest Pine Hills area by Forest Service officers and Union County Sheriff's deputies. They are being held at the Jackson County Jail in Murphysboro on $100,000 bond.
