TODAY'S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .

Robert Shaw and Matthew Cosimini, who attempted to rob a bank in Florida, but apparently were too lazy to get out of their car, so they used the drive-through instead. The pair sent a note through the drive-through implying they had a bomb and would detonate it if they didn't receive the cash. The teller handed over an unspecified amount of money and the men sped off, but didn't get far. The men crashed their green pickup truck into a car and a police cruiser before surrendering to police a short distance away.

AND THEN THERE'S .....

Katrina Lorraine Tisdale, 47, who dialed 911 and asked cops to help her get back her last $50 that she handed over to a drug dealer. Tisdale was upset because she was now broke and in-between social security disability checks. Cops did help her... into a police cruiser and off to jail. As an added bonus, this is Tisdale's 12th booking at the Pinellas County Jail.

OR HOW 'BOUT .....

A 76-year-old gun safety instructor in Minnesota, who accidentally fired his weapon in a local Lutheran church and school. Someone in the class approached the instructor with a question about a 1911 Colt 45 handgun that was safely locked away in the instructor's gun case. The instructor then picked up the gun and used it as a visual aide while answering the question. Fortunately the instructor had pointed the gun away from the eight children and their parents were present when it discharged. The instructor resigned following the incident.

    OKAY, ONE MORE .....

Kimberly Kruger, 45, who decided to have a few glasses of wine while waiting for a flight in Charlotte, North Carolina, but refused to pay her bill. So instead of paying the small bar tab, she'll have to come up with $1,000 for bail.
