Jeffery Tyler Siegel, who planned a fake knife attack so he could impress a woman he was dating at the time. The attack got out of hand, however. Siegel claimed the attacker eventually fled, but not before he sustained two knife wounds to the chest and wrist. Police interviewed the woman, who told them she thought something was off and Siegel had been texting moments before the assault and appeared "very nervous." Siegel confessed that he contacted a friend before the attack and he scraped himself to make it look like an injury. He thought something like this would help his chances with the woman.
A unidentified Swedish man, who learned if you're going to bilk the system for $806,000 by faking a wheelchair-bound disability, don't take vacation photos of yourself riding camels and climbing pyramids in Egypt. The man claimed $806,000 in benefits after he told his doctors he could not walk, eat or get dressed by himself because he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after traumatizing experiences in Iraq. Police obtained photographs of him riding on camels and climbing the pyramids while on vacation in Egypt, minus his wheelchair. The man was sentenced to four years in prison and was ordered to pay damages of approximately $806,000. His ex-wife was sentenced to three years in prison for her involvement.

An unidentified man in California, who likes to take "upskirt" videos where he peers up women's skirts with his camera. Instead of using the smallest camera possible to try to accomplish this task he used an iPad. Needless to say, he attracted quite a bit of attention in the pet shop in which he worked when he stopped to pet a customer's dog and simultaneously tried to position his iPad on the floor to shoot up her skirt. The customer, who happened to be a 22-year-old model, took his ID tag and used LinkedIn to track down the iPad perv and notify police.
