The City of Cape Girardeau Public Works Department will be starting contracted road work on Perry Ave. and Perryville Rd. from Bertling to New Madrid today. Work will consist of concrete slab repair and replacement and will last approximately three weeks. North bound traffic will be detoured onto New Madrid to West End Blvd. and then up West End Blvd. to Bertling for the six blocks until repairs are complete.  Use caution when driving through work zones, and consider alternate routes.

Stoddard County road work areas this week:

• Route F in Stoddard County, between County Road 420 and Route J, will be closed today and tomorrow from 7:30am to 4pm as MoDOT crews perform bridge maintenance.

• Business Route 60 in Stoddard County, between Route AD and Harris Drive, will be reduced to one lane through Friday from 7am-4pm for MoDOT drainage repairs.
