Finding healthy options for kids when eating out can be a challenge

When parents dine out, they are looking for healthier options for their kids. Many restaurants already have them. The National Restaurant Association has teamed up with Healthy Dining on the ‘Kids Live Well’ program.  Spokesperson Ali O’Hara tells KZIM-KSIM it's about finding healthy choices and alternatives that are appealing to kids and good for them too.  Kids LiveWell menu choices are available at nearly 30,000 participating restaurant locations nationwide, with at least 12 chains in Southeast Missouri on board.  To find more information on the program, visit
