Cape County Republican Women’s Club is hosting a discussion on the impacts of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Education featuring education advocate Gretchen Logue. Local Club President Holly Lintner says this program is a “must see” for every community member that feels they have a stake in our children’s future. According to Logue and the Missouri Coalition Against Common Core (MCACC) the CCSS standards were adopted with little public knowledge. Together with other educational advocates, she hopes to educate the public and legislators on the standards. The program begins at noon on Friday at Dexter BBQ and is open to the public. For info, contact Lintner (573)200-4073.
