If your small child is going to attend school in Sikeston it’s time to register for the screening process

Jan 24, 2013 -- 5:00pm

Attention parents of infants and children up to four years old; if your child will be attending the Sikeston Public School District you are asked to make an appointment with the Sikeston Kindergarten, Early Childhood Center and Parents as Teachers Program screening process.  Principal Jenny Hobeck tells KZIM KSIM you will need to make an appointment for the one and a half hour process… You will need to bring your child, a copy of his or her immunization records, and fill out the forms to begin the process. Your child will be checked by a nurse on vision, dental, health, speech and hearing, and developmental delays. The hours are 10 to 6 Tuesday and Thursday and from 8am to 4pm on Wednesday for the 1st week in February. Call 471-0653 and reference the 0 to 4 screening to secure a time. If a concern arises the nurse will put you in contact with a professional. There is no charge for the screening.
