INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING AT RIVER CAMPUS

Jan 18, 2013 -- 6:00am

Storytellers have found audiences for centuries, but in this digital age of entertainment, simply sitting down to tell a story has to be more refined, more intentional, and more interactive than it used to be.  Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus will host An Evening of Storytelling this evening, at 7pm in the Bedell Performance Hall, with interactive storytellers Donald Davis and Dolores Hydock.  Davis tells KZIM-KSIM that he never adlibs and doesn’t create a set list ahead of time, but prepares for the program by interacting with his audience.   Hydock will share stories about “family fireworks, food fads, true love, turnip greens and other peculiarities of everyday life”.  You can get your ticket for an ‘Evening with Donald Davis and Dolores Hydock’ by calling the River Campus Box Office at (573) 651-2265 or by visiting RiverCampusEvents.com.
