Shaune Lawrence, 54, who called authorities to come investigate a robbery at his home, but neglected to hide the marijuana growing operation in the spare bedroom and bathroom. Lawrence called police to report a home invasion and gave them permission to enter his house to look for the robbers. When the officers searched the home, they found 110 marijuana plants in the spare bedroom and bathroom, which translates to a street value of about $44,000. Crews dismantled the operation and Lawrence was taken into custody.
AND THEN THERE'S .....
Kenneth Rowe, Jr., who brought his baby to an establishment with a strip club and liquor store in it and then left him there with the clerk. Rowe was drunk when he went to the Shark Lounge and Liquor Store, and reportedly asked the clerk to watch his baby when he went outside for a cigarette. The clerk agreed, voicing concerns about the safety of the baby in the cold. Rowe then disappeared. The man is now facing child neglect charges.
OKAY, ONE MORE .....
Angela Cornett, a Bartow County, Georgia, school board member, who hit a teenager with her SUV during a dispute over a parking spot. A 17-year-old girl was standing in a parking spot at a Wal-Mart to save it for a friend who had just given birth so that the new mom didn't have to walk far across the parking lot. Cornett began pulling into the space and told the teen to move. Though she denied that she hit the teen, Wal-Mart video surveillance shows Cornett accelerating and striking her with the SUV. The teenage girl was not seriously injured, and Cornett was charged with reckless conduct.
