Over eating at holiday parties is something we all face. Nutrition Educator with the St. Louis Dairy Council, Kelly Maher says it doesn’t have to be that way! She tells KZIM KSIM all you need is a solid game plan and DON’T SKIP MEALS prior to the party… If you attend a party famished you are likely to overindulge. Eat your three meals that day and you have a better chance of not overeating at the party. If the meal is pot luck you can bring a healthy dish or a cheese tray. Mayer reminds us that the guidelines suggest three servings a day of dairy, even if it a snack. And for the New Year… if you are planning a resolution, focus on what you CAN have instead of what you can’t and be realistic in your goals.
