A Hayti man gets 7-years for statutory sodomy

Nov 15, 2012 -- 12:44pm

A Pemiscot County man charged with sodomy avoids a trial by pleading guilty!  47-year-old W-H Sandusky of Hayti was arrested in March 2011 after an investigation by the sheriff’s department revealed he had sexual relations with an underage girl.  A 14-year-old reported to her school she was molested the morning of March 5th.  Sandusky was charged with one count of statutory sodomy.  His jury trial was set for July before Judge David Dolan in Mississippi County.  But that was taken off the docket.  He entered a guilty plea.  The state recommended 7-years in state prison.  Judge David Dolan this week sentenced him to that 7-year term.
