A Beauty pageant collects toys for local children

Beauty pageant contestants will compete for a crown this month all while raising toys for local children.  The 25th will be the 5th annual Toys for Tots Beauty Pageant at Jefferson Elementary school in Cape Girardeau.  All ages are invited out to compete from newborn to teen age divisions.  Coordinator Lisa Boyer tells KZIM-KSIM toys will be collected that day. Contestants must bring a 10 dollar toy in lieu of a registration fee and are asked to wear a Christmas outfit as part of the pageant theme.  Registration begins at 1 and the pageant starts at 2.  Entry forms are available by calling 382-1748.
