The first Missouri dinosaur, a Hypsibema Missouriense (Hips-a-beam-a Missouri-in-sa) will receive a personal name next week. The Bollinger County Museum of Natural History will host a naming ceremony on the 21st. Students have had the chance to submit names for the dino and the museum has poured through submissions to come up with a winner. Museum Curator Guy Darrough and local dignitaries will be on hand to give out awards. Museum Administrator Patricial Welker tells KZIM-KSIM this is a unique find. The event kicks off at 9 am and is open to the public. Students will receive awards for runner up names as well. Refreshments will follow the ceremony. For more information call 238-1174.
