A walk for women’s athletics helps more than events on the field…
Team Captains are being sought and teams are forming for the 3rd annual Walk for Women’s Athletics at Southeast Missouri State University. Associate Athletic Director Cindy Gannon says May 1st at Houck Field House she hopes to see hundreds of people walking the campus to raise money for the women athletes at Southeast. She tells KZIM KSIM this takes the focus usually on the court and field and places it on academia… providing opportunities for future leaders in all segments of society. The entry fee has been lowered to 25-dollars this year yet participants are asked to gather as much as they can. The 30-minute walk will enhance the scholarship funds for the 120 female athletes on campus. The walk begins at 9am – call 651-2997 to get more information. Or go to go-southeast-dot-com.
