The Cape Chamber honors several businesses with its annual awards
The Cape Chamber of Commerce battled the snowstorm Friday night to gather at a new location for their annual dinner and awards ceremony. Over 600 members used the event at The Venue in Town Plaza to celebrate the successes of 2009. The small business of the year award went out to two Cape businesses---Skyview Animal Clinic and Northwestern Mutual Financial Network The Hahs Group. The 2010 Rush H Limbaugh Award went to Pete Poe of Cape. And Chamber vice-president Tracey Glenn tells KZIM KSIM their Go-Getter of the Year was presented to Paula Myers of Alliance Bank. Glenn says they also recognized Huckstep Auto Body for being a Chamber member for 50 years. The Limbaugh award goes to a businessperson who has expended an exceptional effort on behalf of the community for a long period of time.
