A Malden woman has been killed in an auto accident
A Malden woman has been killed in an auto accident. It happened last night at 5:50 on Route “J”, just south of U.S. 62 in New Madrid County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 68-year old Jennive Willcut of Malden, was a passenger in an automobile driven by 72-year old Jerry Noyes of Bernie. Willcut was fatally injured when Noyes turned into the path of a vehicle driven by 49 year old Tronda Brown of Bernie. Brown was wearing her seatbelt and was air-lifted to St. Francis Medical Center with serious injuries. Noyes, who was also seriously injured, was flown to Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, he was not wearing a safety belt. Willcut, who was also not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by New Madrid County Coroner Ralph Barnwell. This is the 4th fatality in Troop “E’s” region this year.
