A Caruthersville man gets a new judge after a stabbing in Dexter


A Caruthersville man arrested in Dexter following a weekend stabbing incident that injured two people in late November gets a new judge in Bloomfield. 27-year-old Matthew Kingston is charged with Class-A felony assault in the first degree with injury and Class-B felony assault in the first degree. Deputies responded to a call November 28th in reference to an assault that occurred at a house on County Road 7-02. The 15-year-old victim stated that Kingston had been arguing with his step-mother, and when he tried to break it up, Kingston assaulted him with a razor blade knife. The teen received injuries to his chest and left forearm. A second victim had injuries to his leg and hand after he tried to help. Kingston had his case bound over Thursday before Judge Joe Satterfield and will appear on the 20th for an arraignment before Judge Stephen Sharp.
