A Cape man's drug trial is delayed while the defense awaits police video
A case against Zatrun Twiggs of Cape Girardeau was delayed again Monday when he appeared before Circuit Court Judge William Syler. He is charged with allegedly purchasing and distributing narcotics. Twiggs’s attorney Jennifer Booth says they are still in the discovery process with the state. She says there has been technical difficulty in viewing one video from the Cape Girardeau Police Department. 24-year old Twiggs was arrested Sept. 11 in Sikeston after police spent two weeks searching for him. He led authorities on a high-speed chase to Scott City on Aug. 28. Authorities allege that, when he reached Scott City, Twiggs broke into a home and forced an elderly man to drive him to Chaffee.
