Sex charges land a Bollinger County man in jail
A Bollinger County man behind bars on sex-related charges has a preliminary hearing next month. 31-year-old Michael Lappe of Sedgewickville was arrested November 13th and charged with a Class C felony of second-degree statutory sodomy and misdemeanor child molestation in connection with the alleged abuse of a 14-year-old girl. According to police, the girl's mother reported that Lappe's wife had allegedly discovered Michael had been sexually involved with the girl for several months. The juvenile was interviewed at the Southeast Network Against Sexual Violence, where she admitted to sexual contact with him. Lappe appeared Wednesday before Judge Scott Thomsen in Marble Hill to show proof of an attorney and has a preliminary hearing January 20th.
