A bar fight lands a Charleston man in jail
A Charleston man is behind bars charged with assault after an altercation this weekend with another patron at a local bar! 21-year-old Quentin Branam remains in Scott County Jail on a 50-thousand-dollar bond after he was picked up early Saturday on 1st-degree assault. A deputy patrolling the Diehlstadt area Saturday morning noticed a lot of cars parked outside a bar after closing time. He entered the business and made contact with a victim who was severely beaten. He was rushed to Missouri Delta Medical Center for a broken nose and released. He later was diagnosed with serious internal injuries due to the beating. The victim remains in a Cape hospital awaiting surgery. The two got into a verbal argument outside the bar, which progressed into a fight. Branam left the scene and went to Charleston, where he was apprehended.
