A Perryville teen gets 7 years on two sex crimes
A Perryville teenager will spend the next 7 years in state prison after pleading guilty to two sex crimes. 18-year-old Robert Patterson Junior was arrested in May and charged with 15 counts of statutory rape, 15 counts of statutory sodomy, and 15 counts of child molestation. Police believed Patterson had sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl over 100 times in the past year in Perryville and Bonne Terre. The incidents were reported to police after a picture of the girl was found on Patterson’s cell phone. The teen appeared before Judge William Syler in Jackson last week and pled guilty to two counts of statutory rape. The judge sentenced him to 7 years on each to run at the same time.
