A Poplar Bluff woman gets three years for making bomb threats.

Twenty-seven-year-old Morgan Kile of Poplar Bluff will spend the next three years in federal prison on three felony counts of making false bomb threats by phone. On January 20th she made one call to the Butler County Circuit Clerk’s Office and two to the Butler County Health Center on her cell phone, saying there was a bomb in the county courthouse and one in Poplar Bluff Senior High School. Kile owed a fine and hoped by making bomb threats the court would be closed and she would not have to appear in court that day. Both buildings were temporarily closed; a search produced no explosive devices. U-S District Judge Rodney Sippel Monday sentenced her to 37 months and 3-years supervised probation after that term.
