A Canadian man pleads guilty to transportation of a stolen plane
A Canadian man has entered a guilty plea to federal charges of flying a stolen aircraft into the U-S from Canada and crashing it in Southeast Missouri. 31-year-old Adam Leon pled guilty Thursday in U-S District Court in Saint Louis to interstate transportation of a stolen aircraft and illegal entry. On April 6th, Leon stole a Cessna 1-72 from Ontario and flew it for several hours before landing it off Highway-60 near Ellsinore. He was arrested soon after at a local grocery store. Leon will be sentenced November 3rd. and faces up to 10-years in federal prison.
