A New Madrid man gets 13 years for drug conspiracy
A New Madrid County man will spend the next 13 years in federal prison for his role in a drug conspiracy. 43-year-old Brian Roberds was sentenced Tuesday in U-S District Court to 162 months on one felony count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing Meth. Roberds admitted that in November 2008, Texas police stopped a rental truck driven by James Huff, with Roberds as a passenger. A search located 530-grams of a substance that contained 354-grams of Meth. They indicated they obtained they received the drugs in Arizona and were driving to Southeast Missouri to distribute it. Huff will be sentenced September 28th in Cape.
