A Reynolds County man gets 24 years in federal prison for firearms
A Reynolds County man will spend the next 24 years in federal prison for unlawful possession of firearms. 32-year-old Jason Dement was sentenced Monday in U-S District Court in Cape to 292 months on one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm. In June 2008, a county resident left his car at Dement’s house with four firearms inside. Dement stole the guns, sold two of them, and kept another for himself. The victim recovered the other gun on his own.
