A northeast Missouri drowning claims the life of a Sikeston teenager

Funeral services are still pending for a Sikeston teenager who died while swimming with three others in a lake in Northeast Missouri this week! 16-year-old Phillip Wilson was at North Sever Lake Monday in Baring, Missouri, when the four attempted to swim the 150-yard distance from one shore to the other and he went under. His body was recovered four hours later in 19-feet of water by the Missouri Water Patrol. Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid is handling his services. But the family needs donations before arrangements can be made. You can help through the mail: Care Of Richards Funeral Home, 4-36 Main Street, New Madrid, Missouri, 63869 or call 573-748-2264. Wilson was a student in New Madrid County Schools.
