An afternoon finish is planned for the Tour of Missouri in Cape
If you want to catch the Tour of Missouri finish in Cape on Tuesday September 8th, you may want to take that afternoon off from work! Event organizers have announced the times of each leg of the race. Stage-2 will start in Sainte Genevieve at 11 AM and finish in Cape between 3 and 4:15 PM. The exact route will be made public July 30th. Cape planning committee chairperson Tracey Glenn tells KZIM KSIM they are continuing to finalize plans to accommodate the thousands who will be in the city that day.
Glenn says they are also planning several local events to coincide with the day. She says there will be stations where the public can view the race from the Cape course and also be at the finish line, where a large jumbotron TV will show many of the riders along the way. The Tour of Missouri starts in Saint Louis September 7th and ends on the 13th. The event last year drew more than 435-thousand spectators.
