Faune Riggin has been with KZIM-KSIM since 2001. She is the Program and News Director, producer and host of the Morning News Watch. Originally from North Dakota, she worked in music radio, was the Chief Forecaster for the CBS television affiliate, and moved to talk radio. She has held many pageant titles and speaks on eating disorders across the country. Riggin has two grown sons Dillon and Dawson, and two grandsons - MOOCHIE - 4 and DALLAS - 2! She has a Black Labrador Retriever - Jadzia.. and a cat - Shawnee!

 

Riggin is active with many charity organizations and has many awards for broadcasting excellence. Including; Best News Feature in 2002, Best News Series in 2003 and 2004, Best News casts in 2003 and 2004, Recipient of the 2003 Mary Phelan Chiefs of Police state award, MO House of Representatives announced a resolution in her honor in 2003 for Community Service, Best Radio feature by the MO State Teacher's Association for 2004, 2005, 2008, and again 2 awards for reporting in 2009... 2006 best news series for radio in the National Communicator Awards, 2004 Media Person of the year for MO Special Olympics, and 2008 Distinguished Patriot Award from the Joint Veteran's
Council of Cape Girardeau. Riggin was named one of the TOP TEN best radio programmers in the nation for small market radio in 2007 by Radio Ink Magazine, placed on the US Congressional Record for her acheivements in the US house by Congresswoman JoAnn Emerson, and was awarded the 2007 Community Service award from SALT. And she was named a Leadership Honor Roll member of the University of Missouri Extension of Cape girardeau County for 2008. Riggin lives in Cape Girardeau and LOVES the Dallas Cowboys!
